  • I’m 30 now. It’s not a good feeling nor a bad feeling, just a weird feeling.

  • My health is much better than it was two years ago. I have gone to Pilates classes since then, and it was a perfect cure for my stiff shoulders. Next year, I plan to spend more time working out I feel that I need more stamina to be able to do what I want to do.
  • I have joined a new company called ChartMogul. I will never forget the warm welcome everyone gave me on the first day there. Working in a foreign language is difficult at times, but my colleagues are very warm and I am learning Ruby on Rails. It is good to have chances to learn new things.

  • I made small but steady contributions to an open-source project called Yorkie. The community working on Yorkie is inclusive and warm, so I have wanted to contribute more to this project, and it leads to continuing to do it naturally. I will contribute to this project next year as well.
  • A dear friend of mine went to India. When I heard that she was going to move, I was sad. But she has wanted to use her data science skills to help people in poverty and joined an NGO consulting firm. I always get inspired and learn a lot from my friends. Thanks to her, I got to know to a good non-profit organization and started donating. Next year, if I have a chance, I plan to visit my friend in India.
  • One of the things I’ve been thinking about these days is how to maintain my interest in things I want to study, as well as continue working on areas I want to excel at.
  • The second thing I think about these days is what kind of software engineer I want to be in the future. I’ve been thinking a lot these days about which domain to specialize in, and what areas I can say I’m good at.
  • I will finish organizing a conference I have been in charge of next year and will support the folks who run it.
  • In 2022, it will be time to select and focus.
